Mostly sunny, breezy, and warmer to start the new year

and last updated 2020-01-01 23:58:47-05

Happy New Year! We started the day cold and frosty with lows in the single digits and teens, but the sun and strong southerly wind warmed us up to 40 today. After some gusts over 30 mph throughout the day, the wind will stay around 15-25 mph this evening with temps in the upper 30s. By morning, lows are in the mid 30s with a SW wind at 10-20 mph. The normal high is 29 and we will be way above that in the morning. Thursday is dry, but mostly cloudy and breezy with highs in the low to mid 40s. We will see some drizzle by evening with a weak cold front that cools us down for Friday and Saturday.

Friday is partly cloudy with a high of 35 and a light breeze. There is a slight chance for flurries Friday night, but Saturday is partly cloudy and dry with a high of 32. We warm back into the upper 30s on Sunday with a rain/snow mix and a brisk wind. Flurries linger into Monday with a breezy high of 32. Next week looks like a normal January week with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens…but no big snowstorms looming.
