Very light snow, patchy freezing drizzle expected

and last updated 2020-01-13 23:33:40-05

We woke up to another 1-3” of fluffy snow (1.2” Milwaukee) this morning and we also got to enjoy some morning sun to help warm us up into the lower 30s. The rest of the day has been cloudy, and while the evening is quiet, we will see some very light snow and patchy freezing drizzle late tonight and toward sunrise. Expected snowfall is just a dusting, but roads will be wet and there could be some slick spots from the patchy freezing drizzle. Morning low temps will be near freezing. After a dreary and damp start, Tuesday becomes sunny and breezy with a high of 42.

Wednesday has a light wind with highs in the mid 30s and a light rain/snow mix. The roads will mainly be wet with less than 1” of snow expected. Behind that cold front, Thursday is sunny and cold with a high of 20. Wind chills will be in the single digits all day. We are already tracking the next big storm which gets here on Friday afternoon. It will be windy and mild with highs in the low to mid 30s. As a result, we will have a wintry mix by afternoon before it changes to snow in the evening and night. This storm will linger into Saturday with snow showers and gusting winds. Stay tuned for this storm throughout the week. The sun and cold returns on Sunday with highs mainly in the teens.
