MILWAUKEE -- Former Wisconsin Badgers basketball star Bronson Koenig is set to join the Milwaukee Bucks and possibly play with the team's new developmental squad the Wisconsin Herd, according to a report in The La Crosse Tribune.
Koenig is expected to sign with the Bucks on July 1, according to a source who spoke with the Tribune's Todd Sommerfeldt. The La Crosse native and Aquinas High School graduate was not selected in Thursday night's NBA draft.
Basketball Insider's Michael Scotto also reported on the Koenig-to-Milwaukee connection on Twitter:
Bronson Koenig, Wisconsin's all-time 3-point leader, has agreed to join the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources told Basketball Insiders.

It's not clear what kind of deal Koenig will be offered, though it's likely he would end up playing for the Wisconsin Herd - Milwaukee's new G-League team based in Oshkosh. Koenig could also go back and forth between the Bucks and the Herd under new "two-way contracts" that the league will implement this season.
Koenig set the Wisconsin record for three-pointers during his time at Wisconsin, and led the Badgers to four straight Sweet 16 appearances during his career.
