Packers re-sign Joe Callahan to practice squad; should they sit Rodgers?

The Packers could consider ending the season of quarterback Aaron Rodgers now that the Packers were eliminated from playoff contention Monday.

That's because the Packers have brought back backup quarterback Joe Callahan to the practice squad, two days after releasing him to bring Rodgers back from his eight-week hiatus after a collarbone injury. This report comes from ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

After the Packers' 31-24 loss to Carolina on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons' victory Monday night ends the Packers' playoff hopes.

The Packers could choose to activate Callahan to the active roster and end Rodgers' season now that they are out of contention.
