Nicolet captured its first WIAA Championship last season, but faced an uncertain outlook heading into the 2019-20 season.
The Knights are a target, as defending champs, and had to replace several seniors and high-profile stars Jalen Johnson and Jamari Sibley.
With James Graham and Kobe Johnson leading the way, Nicolet is among the leaders of the North Shore Conference and gearing up for a title defense.
"I think I'm that player," says Johnson. "I've got everything you want. I'm a hard worker, I'm a leader, I'm a defender. I can guard the best player and if you need a bucket, I can get you a bucket."
"I think I'm pretty versatile," says Graham. "I try to do it all for the team to help us win that's pretty much what I'm all about. Whatever they want me to do, I'm capable of doing that."
Johnson and Gordon average more than 21 points per game and rank second and third, respectively, in scoring in the North Shore Conference.
