Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Khris Middleton will return to the lineup Wednesday against the Miami Heat.

Middleton has missed the entire season so far after tearing his left hamstring in September.

Before the explosion of Giannis Antetokounmpo this season, Middleton was widely regarded as Milwaukee’s best two-way player. Last year, Middleton finished in the top three on the Bucks in the following statistics:

  • Minutes played: 36.1 mpg (first)
  • Points: 18.2 ppg (first)
  • Three-point shooting: 39.6 percent (second)
  • Free throw shooting: 89 percent (first)
  • Assists: 4.2 apg (third)
  • Steals: 1.66 spg (first)

Middleton finally gives the Bucks a true three-point shooter to space the floor around the driving Antetokounmpo and the slashing Jabari Parker. Middleton is a career 40 percent three-point shooter, and Milwaukee ranks just 24th in the NBA in three-pointers made per game so far this season.

The Bucks (22-28) have lost ten of their last twelve games, and sit one game out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
