Joe Janz has been a shuttle driver for Steve's on Bluemound for years. Brewers Opening Day 2019 is special for him because it was his 999th regular season game in a row driving fans to and from Miller Park.

"There has been opening days where I haven’t shut off my engine," said Janz.

He said driving is something he loves to do and it all began in 1975 when he started driving a taxi. Year after year he has shouted, "the bus is leaving" more times than he can count.

"It’s the first big celebration since winter is over and winter got a little long this year," he said.

He said Opening Day always brings out some of the rowdiest crowds.

"There are people who don’t have any intention on going inside the game," he said.

Throughout the years, many fans have turned into friends. Janz said the only thing he loves as much as driving is Brewers baseball.

"This team might be my favorite sports team of all time. It’s a lot of fun watching the game," he said.
