The Milwaukee Brewers will honor their 1982 AL championship next month from July 14-16 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The team will reunite on the field at Miller Park on Saturday, July 15 prior to the 6:10 p.m. game.
Over 20 members of that team have already confirmed their attendance, including Hall of Famers Robin Yount and Rollie Fingers, outfielder Gorman Thomas, first baseman Cecil Cooper, and owner Bud Selig.
The current Brewers team will represent the championship squad by wearing the 1982 home uniforms for the entire series. Philadelphia will don its throwback uniforms from that season as well.
The Brewers will also be handing out fan giveaways related to that team. On Friday, the first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica powder Blue Paul Molitor t-shirt jersey. On Sunday, the team will also give out a 1982 AL Championship replica ring to all fans.
That 1982 team finished 95-67, and won the AL East division. They then defeated the California Angels in five games in the AL Championship, before falling in the World Series to St. Louis in seven games.
