If you're looking for a way to beat the traffic congestion at Miller Park, an alternate way to get to the stadium is to hop on the Brewers bus line.

The bus runs from downtown straight to the ballpark and has 20 stops along Water St., Cathedral Sq. and Wisconsin Ave. It starts two hours before the game and runs about every 30 minutes. The return trip runs about 30 minutes after the game.

For Amy and Julie Ihlenfeldt, going to Opening Day is a tradition with a special meaning. It all started with their father many years ago.

"We think about him every year and the family and going to the game and yeah, it’s exciting," said Amy.

The two said they take the bus because it's a convenient way for them to get to Miller Park without having to find parking.

"The bus is much easier," said Julie. "You don't have to worry about all the cars."

This year, Milwaukee County Transit renamed bus line 22 the 'Yelich Line' after Christian Yelich.

"It's a nickname," said Matt Sliker with Milwaukee County Transit. "Nothing about the line is changing but it is a way to show our support and celebrate our MVP."

If you're looking to ride MCTS, it cost $2 with their mobile app or $2.25 if you're paying with cash.
