Photos are circulating the internet of the potential new Brewers logo for the 2020 season.
The team is returning to its classic "Ball-in-Glove" logo full-time, according to SportsLogos.net.
The first look of the new logo came in a preview of a new Topps Baseball card set. The card featured a photo of Bernie Brewer with the classic Ball-in-Glove logo in a dark blue circle and surrounded by the words 'Milwaukee Brewers.'
The Brewers used the Ball-in-Glove logo from 1978 until 1993, but the new rendition has a few adjustments. For instance, there is now a solid yellow connecting the 'b' and 'm' that make up the glove and the baseball inside the glove has the classic stitching, rather than a more 's' shaped design.
Here's a closer look at the leaked Ball and Glove update from @sportslogosnet. Brewers have declined comment, saying "stay tuned" for details of next year's 50th anniversary celebration. pic.twitter.com/EV34FobR38— Adam McCalvy (@AdamMcCalvy) October 29, 2019
The Brew Crew wore the classic logo in 52 of the 162 games in 2019.
An official announcement on the new logo has not yet been made by the Milwaukee Brewers.
