Between a tight race for the Wild Card and a major baseball rivalry in town, Brewer's fans are pumped.

"I didn't believe we could be in this position this late in the season," said Dale Nook, Bay View.

"Not in a million years. Had plans of breaking even this year so this was all a gift, said Jeff Olson, Mount Pleasant.

Brewer's fans are feeling lucky to be in the race for the pennant, but know a lot is on the line in this four-game series against the Cubs.

"A little anxious a little excited," said Dave Rynders.

"I think they're coming into it strong though. They almost won that game last night to keep the winning streak going," said Christine Rynders.

The Brewers, Cubs rivalry is undeniable. Manager Craig Counsell says it creates a great atmosphere.

"I always think it makes it unique," said Craig Counsell, Brewer's Manager.

Fans say you have to pay extra attention to the field.

"Even the cheering would throw you off because there's so many Cubs fans that they might cheer a home run for the Cubs," said Dale Nook, Bayview.

"Cubs are going down. The Brewers are winning this division this year, said Jeff Olson, Mount Pleasant.

Fans are holding their breath

"I'm very excited, watch another three games after that," said James Olson, Mount Pleasant.

They're hoping for the best.

"One of the things I like about sports is you can't predict what's gonna happen and then the Brewers are like an example of that. Maybe they're gonna make the playoffs," said Eric Povich, Island Lake, Illinois.

However, Brew Crew fans excitement was dampened by a 5-3 loss in extra innings late Thursday night.
