Walking to Fight a Life-Threatening Genetic Disease

Posted

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) patients are in urgent need of additional treatments and a cure. PKD causes cysts to grow in the kidneys, eventually leading to kidney failure. Once a person has kidney failure, dialysis or a transplant are the only options to treat the damage the disease has caused. Joining us to discuss the disease, and special walk to help fight it, are Jacque English and Jeff Nelson.

The 2018 Milwaukee Walk for PKD will take place Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Bayshore Town Center. Registration starts at 8:30 am, The Walk begins at 10 am followed by a raffle and the Penny Kids Dash at 11:30. There will be a DJ for music and refreshments will be provided. For more information and to register, visit WalkForPKD.org/Milwaukee.
