Ronald McDonald House Charities – Eastern Wisconsin

We are dedicated to providing a supportive and compassionate community for families with children in need of medical treatment far away from home. Our mission is to keep families together and promote the health and well-being of children. Friendship Circle of Wisconsin

Friendship Circle of Wisconsin provides support, friendship, and opportunities to include people with special needs in our community. Together with an amazing team of community volunteers, a variety of social, educational, and vocational experiences are shared. Friendship Circle encourages an inclusive community where all individuals are valued regardless of the challenges they face. By integrating those with challenges into our community and with your help, we are reversing mindsets. Through highlighting achievements, not limitations, we create a world of acceptance and inclusion, helping these special souls to achieve their fullest potential. www.fcwi.org

Blessings in a Backpack

Blessings in a Backpack is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending child hunger on the weekends. As a leader in the movement to end childhood hunger, our backpack program provides food for elementary school children across America who may otherwise have little to no food to eat on weekends during the school year. Every school-aged child in America needs nourishment to learn and grow. Between local volunteer opportunities and donation programs, we encourage individuals and communities to take action and ensure children don’t go hungry. MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary, Inc.

We are a solidarity transformational community—interfaith, noncanonical, nonpartisan -- a racially and economically diverse family united in offering life-saving grassroots outreach. Before and since the pandemic crisis our organization has become a major source of food and other essentials in the 53206 zip code, which is a food desert. In the long view the daytime sanctuary and multi-resource center for homeless and housing insecure individuals we are creating will strengthen Milwaukee's safety net. www.mbsanctuary.org

Pathfinders

This year marks Pathfinders' 50th anniversary of being one of Wisconsin’s most effective nonprofit organizations serving youth in crisis. Our low-barrier, innovative services support youth in finding safety, hope and healing. Pathfinders served over 5,000 young people in 2019, many of them accessing more intensive services such as case management, counseling, housing, shelter, sexual exploitation and trafficking advocacy and educational support. Pathfinders is proud to have remained open for young people throughout the pandemic. We are committed to continuing our work with Milwaukee's move vulnerable youth,, meeting them where they are and empowering them to make their own positive choices. www.pathfindersmke.org
