Bank Five Nine and Becky Miller are with us once again to highlight a local nonprofit doing good in our community. This month, we are focusing on The Women's Center to learn about their mission and the ways they keep women safe.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Here in the Milwaukee Area the Women's Center provides safety, shelter, and support to empower all impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and trafficking. During the COVID19 Pandemic domestic abuse has been on the rise as people are encouraged to stay home more than usual. We spoke to Angela Mancuso the Executive Director at the Women's Center to better understand the issue of domestic violence, how they are working hard to keep women safe during the pandemic, and how we can all do our part to help.

Sign up online to receive The Women's Center virtual toolkit, and each Monday in October, The Women’s Center will email you information about domestic violence, resources to support survivors, and custom social media graphics, sample text, and display materials. Both individuals and companies can register, and the materials will be tailored to your audience with resources to post on social media, share in a company e-newsletter or church bulletin, and printed off to display in reception areas, break rooms, or home windows.
