Eras Senior Network provides transportation to medical appointments, delivery of groceries and food pantry stock boxes, seasonal yard clean up, and weekly wellness calls to older adults in Milwaukee County and Waukesha County at no charge.

They began the Holiday Giving Program in 2004 as a way to provide a holiday gift to low-income seniors who otherwise would likely not receive a gift during the holidays. Gifts include gift cards to local pharmacies and grocery stores to help purchase medication, groceries and postage stamps.

Heather Uzowulu, Development Director at Eras Senior Network, joins us to explain how you can join their network of volunteers to help over 1,100 low -income seniors feel the holiday cheer this year.

If you prefer not to volunteer, you can help by hosting a donation drive at your congregation or workplace, or pick up a few gift cards or books of stamps the next time you’re out shopping. The support of the community helps ensure that low-income seniors who live alone and likely would not receive a holiday gift this year are remembered this holiday season.
