“It’s OK to not be OK” is the important message Achea Redd wants to get out during Mental Health Awareness Month. When Achea, wife of NBA Legend and Olympian Michael Redd, suffered from eating disorders throughout her teens and was diagnosed with depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder in 2016, she hid it from those around her. With the help of her therapist, doctors and loved ones, Achea recovered -- but her road to recovery didn’t end there. Achea joins us to explain what it was like to overcome struggles with mental health and how she set out on a journey to end the stigma associated with seeking mental health care, especially as a woman of color.
