Since May, millions of people have received and are successfully using their new Medicare card. In July, 2018, CMS will be mailing new cards to people with Medicare in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Everyone with Medicare in these states should get their new Medicare cards by the end of July. Each new card will have a unique new Medicare number - instead of a Social Security card number. Removing Social Security numbers will help prevent Medicare fraud. While there's a new card and number, Medicare benefits remain the same.
Starting now, Jeff Hinson will be able to discuss the new Medicare cards as well as provide information on the card rollout for when people with Medicare in these states will be receiving their cards.
