Mary Landry from The Wisconsin Humane Society is here to chat about National Bat Week and what we can do to help bats. Half of the species of bats in Wisconsin are listed as “state threatened.” Their numbers are at risk for many reasons, including habitat loss, overuse of pesticides, and, most recently, a disease called White-nose Syndrome, caused by an invasive fungus which has killed millions of bats in the last few years.
