While sharing the story of how he rescued two little boys from their burning basement, Retired Fire Captain Gregory Renz was struck by the tears and emotional responses of those in attendance. It was then that he recognized the awesome power of this story and his storytelling to move people. That's how his first novel, "Beneath the Flames", was born.
