This month, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). ADA supports reasonable job accommodation requests for people with disabilities. We’ve come far in advocating for an inclusion in the workplace for people with disabilities, but the work is not finished. We need to set the vision for the next 30 years. We can discuss what employers are looking for and how to advocate for accommodations and equality that will set any candidate up for success from the job application process to moving up ladder at any desired organization.
We will be joined by International Motivational Speaker Becky Curran Kekulawho sent out hundreds of applications and had 100 interviews before landing a job. He story is inspirational but also a lesson in what employers can do to consider hiring someone with a disability.
