HALES CORNERS — Open Flame in Hales Corners specializes in American wood-roasted cooking. They've been serving it up at this location for 15 years and they're excited to be back open.

"The day that it happened, I might have shed a tear or two," said owner Laz Koutromanos. "Just being so thankful that we were able to open our doors again. We were ready for it. We had our staff all in order, and we made sure we followed all of the guidelines. Social distancing, we moved half of our tables. They recommend six feet apart we have all of our tables eight to ten people apart."
They've won numerous awards for their food and excellence in customer service.
"We have a great following here," Koutromanos said. "We appreciate it. A lot of our regulars come two, three, four times a week and we're very thankful for that. Once the shutdown came, they came in to support us and got carry-outs, got deliveries, and did what they could do to help us out."
