MILWAUKEE — Belli's Bistro and Spirits is a nice Cajun-style restaurant bar in Bay View and they are really feeling the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.

"All I can say is it's been hard," said owner Michael Patton. "It's been hard, it's been challenging. They say the restaurant business is one of the hardest businesses to do, and being first-time owners it was already rough. Throw this monkey wrench in it and it's extremely hard, but my mom, when I'm down, she brings me up.
Mike has owned this restaurant with his mother for the past two and a half years. The concept was inspired by his late father.
"I want to give all salute to my dad," Michael said. "He lost his life in 2016. We were into the bar business, but after that, we didn't want to be in the bar business anymore. We always cooked, so we said 'let's get in the cooking world.' Let's get into the restaurant field."
