MILWAUKEE — "Brunch" on Milwaukee Avenue is new to this downtown location but has a lot to offer.
"The food, atmosphere, the staff, the service here is incredible," says Assistant General Manager Zak Heiniger. "Our staff is always on point. We come to work with a smile and we're all about good energy, positive energy, and good food too."
If you're wondering, Zak is only 23 years old and the Assistant General Manager here. He's getting a good vibe from the customers that come out and eat here during the pandemic.
"People understand if they want to be able to dine out things are gonna have to be different," he said. "There's going to have to be things on tables, they're going to have to wear a mask coming into the building and walking around the restaurant, they're going to have be more understanding to the staff and just respectful of the rules and so far we've had no problems with that."
And business is brisk on this day.
"We've got a little of everything bouncing around the menu," he said. "We've got vegetable hashes and a Biscuits and Gravy Benedict. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, Crab Leg Benedict, Lemon Berry Pancakes, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and we've got the Mac and Cheese Burrito, which has mac and cheese, scrambled eggs, chorizo burrito - that burrito was so good I applied for the job and I've been here ever since."
Another hot menu item is the Quinoa Power Bowl. Brunch is open 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekends.
