MILWAUKEE — Serving homemade pasties at this Burleigh Street location since 1956, Reynold’s Pasty Shop has enjoyed loyal support.

They have been serving their famous meat-and-vegetable-in-a-pasty-shell specialty, Yinka Adedokun has owned the place for the last 15 years.

"Our customers have been around for more than fifty years,” he said. “We have repeat customers. Most that come here used to come with their grandpa and their grandma, and now they come with their own children. From there we draw our own market."

A pasty is a baked pastry filled with meat and vegetables.

Adedokun is keeping the prices the same for his product even though the meat prices have skyrocketed.

"During the pandemic, we cant buy meat from many stores,” he said. “Restaurants close down because the meat is out of whack. Our meat price went up quadruple but we held on."
