WEST ALLIS — The entrepreneur behind the Cream City Print Lounge had to close his doors physically, but is still working to stay open virtually.

Rachaad Howard opened up shop in West Allis in October. It’s where he shares his passion for print and design with others.

Now, he channels the loss of a physical space into shirt sells online.

“I’ve been printing for over 11 years now. This is just a new venture for me,” Howard said.

A new venture, but a a longtime passion. The print lounge is what’s come of Howard’s dream to design for a large corporation. That dream has yet to come true, but through his own business he can share his gift with the world.

Howard said the business was picking up steam as COVID-19 came into the area.

“January and February were our biggest months and from there it just started to crash down,” he said.

Despite the circumstances, Cream City is still open for business online selling shirts to encourage social distancing, stay at home and hand-washing.

Proceeds from several shirts will go to furloughed employees at Dukes on Water and Scooter's Pub.

Howard said his goal is to help spread a serious message in a fun, positive way.

“I’m a very positive person. I understand there’s a lot going on in the world but you have to keep some sense of happy and humanity in you,” Howard said.
