THIENSVILLE — Chuck's Place in Thiensville is a pretty popular place in town. When the pandemic hit they were ready to go.

"I couldn't sleep St Patrick's day-night," says owner Ted Hagen. "I'm wondering what I'm gonna do, how am I going to keep all of my employees? I didn't know if we were going to do enough carryout business. Within one or two days after the lockdown, we were rolling. We were bringing down extra phones from the office for extra curbside."

Chucks's Place is open for dine-in now and people rave about their Chicago deep-dish pizza, as well as other dishes.

"Mr. Chuck Friedman, the original owner of this restaurant, brought the Chicago deep-dish pizza to Milwaukee in 1971. So, we were one of the first restaurants to serve it."
