This weekend is all about the arts in Milwaukee. Stay indoors and check out some of these exhibits and performances.
First Stage's Antarctica, WI premiers this weekend. The basis for this play was formed from interviews with Milwaukee teens. See the show at the Todd Wehr Theater on Friday at 6 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.
A Busy Bee is a children's opera that follows the story of Bella the Honeybee. The show is at the Florentine Opera Center on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The Racine Art Museum's 9th Annual Peeps Art Competition is back. The display features artwork created out of the popular Easter treat Peeps. The exhibit runs Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
For a little bit of music this weekend head over to The Basilica of St. Josaphat to see The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra perform their new program 'Become Ocean.' The two-part show features excerpts from Handel's "Water Music" and John Luther Adams' "Become Ocean." See the show at 8 p.m. on Saturday or 4 p.m. on Sunday.
This weekend is also the opening weekend for the Renaissance Theaterworks' production of Top Girls. The show is about what it means to be a successful woman. It is showing all weekend long.
