Weekend Events: Dancing through Milwaukee

Don't let the weather stop you from getting out and enjoying Milwaukee events. This weekend brings music, dancing and more. 

Kids at Milwaukee area schools are coming together to compete in Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom Dance Competition on Saturday. The kids will be dancing the salsa, tango and swing dancing. The event beings at 9: 30 a.m. at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. It's free and open to the public. 

Pabst Milwaukee Brewery is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a street festival of music and food. The party runs from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Juneau Ave. between 10th and 11th St. Then, at 9 p.m. the brewery is hosting The Get Down-Milwaukee Funk and Soul Dance Party at the Pabst Milwaukee Brewery and Taproom. Admission is free.

For more music, head to Fiddle Fest 2018. At 8 p.m. guests can discover "the beauty of the violin family of instruments" across Nordic and Irish cultures as well as bluegrass music. Tickets are $10.

Sunday is the day for deals. The One Trick Pony Vintage Flea and Great Riverwest Vintage Flea Market & Rummage Sale are going on all day. One Trick Pony runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at The Cooperage in Walkers Point, and the Great Riverwest Flea is 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Art*Bar.
