JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- Police are looking for a suspect in the shooting death of an Illinois man in the southern Wisconsin city of Janesville.
Janesville Police Chief Dave Moore says it happened just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers found a 29-year-old Chicago-area man in the house. He'd been shot in the face and neck. He was pronounced dead at a Janesville hospital.

According to the Janesville Gazette, Moore told reporters the suspect had been seen around the neighborhood before, and urged anyone who knows him to call police.

The victim's name has not been released, but Moore says he was found with heroin and had a lengthy criminal history. He was on probation for a cocaine charge.

The chief says investigators were trying to determine if the shooting was drug-related or domestic-related.
