For the second time, a Tennessee lawmaker is introducing a bill that would keep Daylight Saving Time year-round.

The bill is being sponsored by Rep. Rick Tillis who is teaming up with Rep. Steve Dickerson in hopes of getting this passed.

The legislation hasn't been filed yet, but Tillis feels this would be beneficial to Tennessee. He said the extra hour would improve health and overall quality of life for people living in the state.

Tillis also feels it'll encourage people to stay active and spend time supporting local businesses.

However, it won't be very easy. Even if it does get approved at the state level, it can't go into effect unless it's signed off by the federal government.

If passed, Tennessee would join Hawaii and Arizona as states that don’t change their clocks.
