Week 5 of "Friday Night Lights" saw undefeated Oak Creek go head to head with a flawless Franklin squad.
It was all Knights in the first half. Two touchdowns and a pair of field goals later, the Sabers found themselves down 13 points at halftime.
Refusing to give up, Franklin picked themselves up and went to work.
"Everyone took a deep breath and calmed down. We said everyone just has to do their job and trust in each other and good things will happen in the 2nd half," said Zach Martens, Sabers senior linebacker.
Good things did happen. Making every trip to the end zone, senior running back Ron Wilson was untouchable.
"I thought, we need to score, we need to win. I did whatever I could to help our team do that. If that was scoring four touchdowns, great. If it doesn't I don't care I just want to win," said Wilson, senior Saber who scored 3 times in the second half alone.
Not to mention that the Sabers defense was able to shut-out Oak Creek in both the 3rd and 4th quarters.
"We were saying they can't score again. Coming out of the half we said they can't score again. We'll trust the offense, we'll get us back in the game. Do our part and we got to hold them," said Martens.
Getting the comeback from behind victory 28-20, Franklin is still perfect in 2018.
"We know we have to keep getting better cause we aren't there yet, but we will be. We just got to keep it up," said Wilson.
