MILWAUKEE — More than 720 students at Next Door Foundation received a book through the "If You Give a Child a Book" book drive.
It’s a partnership with TMJ4, E.W. Scripps, Scholastic Books, and Bank Five Nine. The goal was to provide children with stories to help their imagination grow. The kids entered onto a mobile library bus and each child received three books. It was important for the kids to have stories about diversity and inclusion.

“Our books are multi-cultural books so our children can see children who look like them when they are reading,” said Jackie Shanti, Books for Kids Program Manager.
Five-year-old Reign said she loves to read and is happy to add her Fancy Nancy book to her growing collection.
“It’s fun because you get to learn,” said Reign.
