A newborn baby is breaking records at a Texas hospital.
Ali James Medlock weighed in at 14 pounds and 13 ounces when he was born on Dec. 12.
He was required to stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit a week after he was born due to rapid breathing, low blood sugar and platelets that doctors say were due to his size.
The doctor told Ali's parents, Jennifer and Eric, that he is the biggest baby he's delivered in over 30 years on the job.
Ali's health has improved since his stay in the hospital.
