California police are investigating an incident involving students allegedly using human ashes to make cookies then hand them out to their classmates.

According to KOVRin Sacramento, the students used the ashes of a relative, a deceased grandfather, to make the sugar cookies. The cookies were then given to nine students at the high school.

Although sickening to think about, no one who ate a cookie has gotten sick as of yet.

"I have not heard of anyone getting sick, or anybody being harmed as far as physically or physiologically by this," said Lt. Paul Doroshov with the Davis Police Department.

The investigation is still ongoing according to officials. The cookies themselves have not been tested.
