MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- A mother of nine died from a suspected overdose in front of her children. Now police are looking for two men who they say left her to die.

Police are also looking for donations for the woman's family.

Police in Middletown, Ohio didn't identify the woman in their Facebook post, but wrote that she was the mother of children ranging between ages 14 and 1. The children's father is a hard worker who "has tried to make ends meet but it's a vicious cycle," police wrote.

Two men who were supposed to be the woman's friends left her to die and stole her money, telling her children they were going to go buy soda, according to police. They described the men were a possible father/son team. One had gray hair, gray facial hair and wore a red and black coat. The other man had on a brown jacket and had a thin build.

"It has disturbed us so much that it's time for us to make a difference," police wrote.

They asked anyone wanting to make donations to bring them to the Middletown police department. The chief already pledged a $200 donation, and they were asking for clothing, coats, blankets, food, a stove, a refrigerator, Christmas ornaments and toys.

For monetary donations, police opened an account at the Butler Heritage Federal Credit Union. The address is 660 N. University Boulevard, Middletown, Ohio 45042. Their phone number is 513-423-2921. The account name is Kindness for Sanders family. Checks can be made out to the Middletown Police Department or City of Middletown.
