CHEYENNE, Wyo. – High winds toppled more than a dozen tractor-trailers in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming Monday.

Denver-based KMGH's Daryl Orr reported seeing 14 semis on their sides along Interstate 25 near the Colorado-Wyoming state line.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said I-25 was closed in both directions between Wellington, Colorado and the Wyoming state line. Officials did not have an estimate for when the interstate would reopen.

The northbound lanes of Highway 85 also were closed in Nunn because of the wind.

The National Weather Service had issued a high wind warning in the area Monday, with winds out of the west expected to reach 30 to 40 miles per hour and gusts in excess of 60 mph possible.

It wasn’t immediately clear if there were any injuries associated with the rollovers.
