Walker: "Stop talking about anyone else"

Stop talking.

That was the message Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said he had for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump when the two spoke a few weeks ago.

Walker didn't want Trump to stop talking altogether, but rather to focus his message.

  • "Stop talking about anybody else except you and Hillary Clinton. If anything, you could include Bill Clinton and maybe Barack Obama, but I said stop talking about Republicans, stop talking about judges, just talk about the difference between him and Hillary Clinton and how he's  going to make life better for every day Americans,"

Walker told TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson in Cleveland.

Walker also said he's completely onboard with the Trump/Pence ticket, even if other high-profile Republicans are keeping their distance from Cleveland.

"Any time Donald Trump or Mike Pence come to Wisconsin I'll be there," Walker said. "I'll campaign with them, I'll support them, I'll be a part of that, I think it's a great ticket. I personally know Mike Pence better than I do Donald Trump."
