The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver around 3:15 a.m.Tuesday.
The driver was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-43 and crashed into another vehicle at Chase Avenue. The crash caused the northbound lanes to be shut down for about an hour.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says it utilized its overhead electronic messaging boards to alert motorists of a wrong-way driver in their area.
No word on the extent of the injuries of the drivers.
