NEW BERLIN — A wrong-way driver caused a four-vehicle accident in New Berlin early Monday morning.

Police say that around 6 a.m. the driver was heading eastbound on Cleveland Avenue in the westbound lane. The driver struck a vehicle parked at a red light which then was pushed into two other cars that were parked behind it.

Three people were taken to a local hospital by ambulance. However, their injuries are unknown.

According to the New Berlin Police Department, a medical condition may have been a factor in the wrong-way driver. However, police are still investigating.
