MILWAUKEE — After a weekend full of OWI arrests, a man was arrested for driving the wrong way down I-43 while intoxicated.

La Vance Crisler was arrested Monday morning after driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-43 near W Howard Ave. Crisler crashed into a semi trailer; however, neither he nor the semi driver were injured.

Crisler displayed signs of impairment and performed poorly on the Standard Field Sobriety Test. He blew a .104 into the breathalyzer and was arrested for his first OWI along with 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety.

This was one of several OWI arrests made over the weekend. According to a report from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), six people were arrested on Saturday and Sunday for OWI's. Four were made on Saturday and two on Sunday.

MCSO is reminding the public not to drink and drive, and to join them in their public safety efforts by reporting reckless driving to dispatchers at (414)-278-4788. You can also report reckless driving anonymously through the MCSO app.
