KENOSHA — A woman died after an overnight crash in Kenosha, police say.
Kenosha police said officers responded to the 1800 block of Washington Road on a report of a fire. A downed power line was located, which was arcing and causing a small fire.
Police searched for signs of a car crash, but did not find physical evidence that one had occurred.
A car was located in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Washington Road with "heavy front damage." Police found a woman, 33, inside of the car, trapped underneath the steering column. Kenosha police began first aid, but lifesaving measures were not successful.
The identity of the woman was not released. The crash remains under investigation.
