Germantown Police took a woman into custody for her 5th offense OWI after realizing an overdose caused her to crash her vehicle on I-41.

Germantown Police Communications received reports of a hit-and-run crash Friday afternoon in which the operator of a black Dodge Dakota was driving erratically.

The Dodge struck a Subaru Legacy and continued driving until it eventually crashed into the shoulder of the highway.

The driver of the Subaru sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from the scene while the driver of the Dodge was found in her vehicle pulse-less.

The driver was identified as a 56-year-old Hartford woman.

Police officers and paramedics administered live-saving measures and revived her. She was sent to Community Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

She was then taken into custody for 5th offense driving while under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating after revocation.
