Wisconsin's first hemp store opened on Friday -- on 4/2 no less -- in Black River Falls.

PriceLand Hemp in Jackson County will sell food items, vapes and creams made from the hemp plant.

Hemp products do not produce the high associated with marijuana but provide medicinal benefits.

Danyal Durman and Joel Peterson are opening the store after years of experience with farming cannabis in Colorado and Oregon.

While hemp and cannabis are not the same, the plants are similar enough for the farmers to feel comfortable growing it.
