GRANT COUNTY — With Halloween on Thursday and many children planning to trick-or-treat, officers in Grant County want parents to be on the lookout for what they call "meth candy."

"This is something new that we haven't seen before, but the influx of methamphetamine into our area has grown tremendously over the past couple of years," said the Grant County Sheriff's Office in a Facebook post. "We are doing what we can to keep it away from our young people; however with this item we found, it really changes the game."

They also warn of any candy products containing marijuana. They may have been created in other states where it's legal, but could be damaging to a child's health.

If you find something suspicious, report it to your local law enforcement.
