WISCONSIN — Say cheese, we're the best!

That's right, it's your pearly whites that did it for us. Wisconsin has been named the state with the best dental health according to a WalletHub study.

The study looked at things like how many people visited the dentist in a year, costs of going to the dentist, and number of dentists per capita. All of that was taken into consideration and Wisconsin came out on top!

Our state scored a solid 75.69 with Illinois trailing right behind us at 75.65. And in third, another Midwest state: Minnesota with 74.84.

Along with an overall rank, the study also gave each state a ranking for dental habits and care, and oral health. In the dental habits and care ranking, Wisconsin takes home the gold once again. However, when it comes to oral health, we sit at number six.

So, we're the best, but who is the worst? That would be Mississippi with a score of just 33.74. They could learn a few things from us here in Wisconsin.
