MADISON — If you're attending the World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison, here's a few things to know.
The preliminary evaluation rounds are open to the public for free on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The contest is being held at Monona Terrace Convention center in Madison, and will feature over 3,000 cheese, butter, yogurt, and dry dairy ingredients.
In addition to the preliminary evaluation rounds, there's also the Cheese Champion, which is now sold out.
This event is set for Thursday, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will feature a tasting of more than 75 stand out cheeses from all over the world.
Those in attendance will also get to learn about the intricacies of cheese evaluation.
