WAUKESHA COUNTY — In an apparent road rage, an unidentified person fired a gunshot at a driver along I-94 in Brookfield, leading to the closure of the freeway and long delays Wednesday afternoon.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says the suspect, driving a black Nissan Altima with heavily tinted windows and no license plate, is still on the run.

The victim, a driver of a pickup, was not injured.

The State Patrol says the suspect, sitting in the driver's seat, pulled out a handgun and fired a single shot into the pickup truck.

The westbound lanes on the interstate at Moorland Road were closed for almost 40 minutes.
