WEST ALLIS — Authorities are investigating a school bus accident in West Allis that ended up with the bus driver being sent to the hospital.
This happened Tuesday near Horace Mann Elementary School in the area of 60th and Lapham.
The West Allis-West Milwaukee School District says six students and one staff member at the school were involved in the accident. The bus hit multiple vehicles including one of the cabs that transports four of the students.
911 was called immediately, and the West Allis Police, West Allis Fire Department, and paramedics quickly arrived on the scene. The bus driver was taken to the hospital.
After being examined by paramedics, no one required hospital transport. All students are now reunited with their families.
The incident is under investigation.
