WEST ALLIS — The West Allis Police Department is mourning the death of retired K9 Diesel who passed away recently.
K9 Diesel was partnered with Corporal Ryan McNally back in 2009, and they worked their last shift together in September of 2017.
According to the West Allis Police Department, K9 Diesel had an impressive career where he located illegal narcotics, assisted in locating 176 suspects and recovered 37 articles of evidence.
K9 Diesel and McNally were recognized locally and statewide numerous times during their career together. Their awards included Rookie K9 Team of the Year, K9 Team of the Year, Superior Police Performance and a Distinguished Service Award.
Rest in peace K9 Diesel, you will be missed!
