WAUKESHA, Wis. — The School District of Waukesha will have additional staff present to help students heal from Monday's incident, according to the school district's Facebook post.

The Waukesha Police Department will have increased presence on campus to maintain a safe learning environment as well.

In talking to students about the shooting, the National Association of School Psychologists advise families, friends and staff to reassure students they are safe, create time to listen and be available to talk, observe children's emotional state, limit media exposure and maintain a normal routine.
